MyMCBCard is a self-care mobile application available to MCB Maldives’ cardholders,  offering  the following services:

  • Card activation

Answer

Any customer of MCB Maldives holding cards issued by MCB Maldives can use the MyMCBCard application.

What information do I need to provide to register as a user of MyMCBCCard?

Answer

After installing the app, you will need to provide the following:

  • A username (to be created by you)
  • Your card number
  • Your date of birth
  • Your registered e-mail
  • Your registered mobile phone number

What happens if I forget my password?

Answer
If you are already registered on MyMCBCard app, you need to click on ‘Reset Smart PIN’, then select ‘Forgot credentials’ option.
You can also access the following link: mymcbcard.mcbmaldives.com and select ‘Forgot password’.
You will then receive a link via email to reset your password. Note that the link can only be used once and is valid for 1 day.
You may also contact the Bank on (960) 330 5656 or via customerservice@mcbmaldives.com for assistance.

What happens if I forget my username?

Answer
You can retrieve your username from the welcome email sent to you upon your initial registration.

You can retrieve your username by accessing the following link: mymcbcard.mcbmaldives.com

What happens if I forget my Smart PIN?

Answer

You can reset your Smart PIN on the app itself.
You may also uninstall the app and download it again, log in and set a new Smart PIN.

I have a new phone, do I need to sign up again to use the app?

Answer

No, you will need to download the application, log in using your username and password, accept the Terms and Conditions and set a Smart PIN. You can then access the app by using your Smart PIN.

Can I access MyMCBCard via my tablet?

Answer
If your tablet meets the minimum requirements to use the application, you can use it. You will need to login again and create a Smart PIN to access MyMCBCard app on your tablet.

I have changed my phone number, can I still use MyMCBCard?

Answer

You will need to call the bank to update your details and provide your  new phone number.
Once your records have been updated, you will be able to use MyMCBCard with your newly registered phone number.
If you do not inform the bank of the change, you will not be able to use the app with your new phone number.

Answer

Yes, it is available to download on the App store. Please note that only IOS version 10 and above are supported.

I have a Huawei phone, can I use the app?

Answer

Unfortunately, Huawei proprietary OS (HarmonyOS) is not supported. However, if Android version 6 and above is used on the Huawei phone and it has access to Google Play Store, the app can be installed and used.

I do not have an email, can I still use the MyMCBCard?

Answer

No, you will need an email to register and receive your verification code.

What is the validity of the OTP/email sent?

Answer

The validity is of 1 minute. Past this timeframe, you will need to make a new request.

I did not receive my OTP/email, what should I do?

Answer

If you have not received an OTP or an email after 1 minute, try to generate a new request. You may also contact the bank on (960) 330 5656 or via customerservice@mcbmaldives.com.

My username is not being accepted. What should I do?

Answer

Username should be less than 25 characters (a-z, 0-9). Some special characters are accepted (Arrobas(@), Apostrophe (‘), Hyphen (-), Dot (.), Underscore(_) ). Other special characters or capital letters are not allowed.
The username may already exist and you will need to create a new unique one for you.

I have several MCB cards, which one do I use on MyMCBCard?

Answer

You can use any of your MCB cards to sign up on the app.

Can I change my card PIN at any time with the MyMCBCard app?

Answer

No, you can only view your card PIN on the app.  If you want to change your PIN, you will need to call in at the Bank for a PIN change request on the POS.

I have forgotten my card PIN, what do I do?

Answer

You can view your card PIN by making a PIN request on the MyMCBCard app. You can also request the Bank for your PIN code. You will then have to collect it at the Bank in a few days.
